We are getting a new manager?

The school had reopened this Monday after a long and snowy Christmas holidays.
I was busy with the kids when Ad came in and she told me conspiratorially that the meeting which we are going to have after two days is pretty important because therein we will be introduced to our new manager as As is going to be busy with another branch of this school opening shortly in another city of Germany in just 2-3 months or so.
"Really? Well, if the new manager is from within the staff then I can pretty well guess who it would be." I said wryly.
"You mean Mz ?"
"Excuse me," I laughed at the ease with which she had hit the right name." I am not naming anybody and I am only guessing."
"No way. Can't be Mz. I think the manager must be from outside - and if in case it is Mz, than I am resigning. I can't stand that hypocrite. She hugs and kisses like she were your nearest and dearest well wisher and then stabs at the back. I can never work under her."

Her reaction had come as a complete surprise to me. I hadn't known there was someone else who was regarding Mz a hypocrite and that there were problems between them to this extent. I strictly avoid getting into personal questions with my colleagues as it often leads to serious misunderstandings and further controversies. In any case, my working hours are different so while the others get a lot of time to interact with other, I get none; I only come, work and go away and in between religiously refrain from any nosy, snoopy, idle gossip.

I just thought I might make an exception this time. I went to her later and asked politely if there were problems between them. Her reply further surprised me.
She and Mz are not even on speaking terms since a few days. What caused this problem I do not know but apparently Mz keeps taking digs at her in front of everyone. For this reason, Ad had left the Christmas party much earlier before even the food was served. Alc, Mz's group mate is another one suffering silently due to Mz's bad behavior. Yesterday, she too broke down into tears and says she doesn't know how long she can survive in such an oppressive situation.
"And do you know how bad our manager is? We all know that your Christmas play was so good for the school. Even the parents of my group came and told me that they felt so nice such a thing was done in school. Everybody was so happy but As was still not happy. I was watching her the whole time the whole evening. I thought she would now admit she was wrong but she didn't. I was expecting she would at least congratulate you and tell you that it was so nice but she didn't."
"Never mind that." I said with a resolute heart." I know that as a teacher I didn't do anything wrong. But neither am I going to do any such thing again in future."

Her opinion against As was a shocker too because I had been under the impression that As and Ad were rather friendly with each her.

As to Mz, it cant be denied that she is a dominating, oppressive, jealous, egoistic, ambitious, calculating, acquisitive sort of female. She looks cheap, she talks cheap. She blatantly flatters to get favors and benefits, knows how to keep her employer in her favor without even doing satisfactory work and till date has successfully got rid of any enemy she made. In the school as well as amongst all the parents she is infamous for getting at least 3 teachers fired just because they had  quarreled with her and now unfortunately I and Ad and perhaps Alc are soon going to join this list.... !
