My Secret Easter Bunny

So, I learnt, my secret Easter bunny was Mz and My. Together they had been slipping sweets and chocolates in my bag just to surprise me and have some fun.
All my guesses were wrong. I had thought maybe Cl or Mk or Mgt.

Easter Party in Kindergarten

Today we celebrated Easter in the kindergarten by having a nice Easter party.
Since two weeks we had been daily practicing the German Easter songs and preparing Easter basket with craft work. I love to sing " Stups der kleine Oster Hase...." and wonder why don't we have an English song for Easters too.

And today was the Easter party.
We assembled in the hall and sang "Stups der kleine..." Cl had prepared a beautiful breakfast table with honey bread toasts, tomato basil cracker bread toasts, boiled Easter eggs and lots of chocolates. The children loved the toasts but naturally preferred the chocolates over them. Mx who is a little German-Dutch boy loved the chocolates so much that he devoured all the ones near him and started attacking other children sitting near him to get some more. When he finally couldn't get anymore he started dipping empty chocolate wrappers into his glass of juice and then lick them in a desperate attempt to get any remaining chocolate crumbs in them.

After the eating when the children went to toilet, Cl secretly slipped out to hide the Easter baskets in the classroom for the children to hunt. " I have to make them believe that while we were in the toilet the Easter rabbit had come in the class and kept the baskets full of chocolates for them." She said.

It was so thrilling to see children's excited faces when they learnt and fully believed that the Easter rabbit had come in their absence and hid the baskets for them. They hunted the baskets while squealing in delight. Then the Easter lunch and the day was over.... They all had eaten so much chocolates during the snack time that none had any appetite left for lunch at all.

Our school is closing down tomorrow for Easter holidays.

Counter Trick

I decided to play a counter trick on whoever is being secret bunny, by hiding all my belongings so that he or she would not know how to place the sweets in them.
In the morning when I entered the school I hid H's stroller in a crowd of other strollers and hid my shoes and bag in the sleeping room.

I asked Cl but she laughed cheekily and denied. I asked Mk and he said he knew who was that person but he wouldn't tell.

'Its the same. You were trying to be secret Santa at Christmas time; now somebody is trying to be secret bunny for you."

Unfortunately, I had to leave the school early today but I am sure my bag and shoes must have been searched everywhere...

Secret Easter again

Today there were more chocolates in my bag and when I started changing my house shoes there were some chocolates in my shoes as well!!

I felt certain that this must be Cl and put the chocolates in Cl's shoes.

Secret Easter Bunny??

Today when I went to the staff room to get something from my bag I was astonished to find that my bag was not there. I looked everywhere but it wasn't there. Who could have removed my bag, I wondered. A little more searching and I found it behind the sofa. There was a beautiful Easter rabbit chocolate in my bag!
About two hours later when I happened to open my bag there were more chocolates in my bag.

Somebody is keeping chocolates in my bag secretly and I have not a clue who could it be. Maybe Cl or Mk...

I decided not to react so as to throw cold water on whoever is playing this trick.

Ll's Mama

Ll's mother who is a British lady is also a committee member. Last Wednesday Ll threw up in class and felt ill so we rang her mother up to come soon and pick her up. She came when the children were sleeping in the sleeping room. As she was leaving she asked me in low whisper tones how I was. I answered customarily that I was fine. She repeated in a whisper.
" No, I mean how are you now that As has gone."
I was visibly taken aback.
"We all were aware that there were problems between you and her and that she was being bad to you."
I broke into a laugh.
"Well, yes, there were problems in the whole school. She was following some wrong policies which were bad for the school and all of us. I ran into a lot of trouble because of that. But I think everything is Okay now."
"And Stf is happy with you!"
"I really don't know this."
We had a meeting with her and told her that we all were very happy with you but As needs to go as she is not fit for this place."
"You all said that?" I exclaimed totally surprised and forgetting completely that I had guessed something to this effect by my own keen observations.
"Yes and Stf told us that she was also very happy with you."
"I really don't know whether she is happy with me or not but by what you are telling me I must say you people did a great job."
She smiled and left.

A Forced Admission

Crl is a beautiful little Italian girl in my class. Her mother holds me in quite a high opinion. One day she even told me that she was so impressed with me that she wanted her second daughter who is only one and half year old to come to my class instead of going to other teacher. She talked to As and at that time As had agreed to send her to me.
With new seasons in the school everything changed. One day She received a call from Stf's boyfriend that she must get her second daughter admitted in this school in the baby group within a month's time.

"But my daughter is very young. I want to wait for another 6 months at least." She protested.
"It is now or never. We cannot wait for 6 months. We offer you a place in the baby group. If you do not want to admit her just now she won't be admitted in this school later at all."

Poor mother ! She didn't even know who Stf's boyfriend was and why the hell should she be talking to her boyfriend when he is nobody and nothing in this school.
She decided to talk to Stf herself but she unavailable. She talked to Cl and me and we suggested she talk to My and Mz who in turn sent her to Stf but she directed her to talk to her boyfriend who repeated the same thing:" Its now or never."

"Tell me just one thing for God's sake." She cried in sheer exasperation and frustration. "Who is the deciding authority of this school? Is it Stf, or Mz or My or this boyfriend whom nobody knows? How can I be forced to admit my child when neither I am ready nor my child is?"

It was so embarrassing for all of us. I felt bad for her.

Two days later, she finally gave in. She got her daughter admitted in the baby group.
